Poly 50 Campus Relay

Background
SP Students' Sports Club organises the annual POLY 50 campus relay, which is one of the most grueling events in the polytechnic. The traditional Poly 50 event, which started way back in the 60's in the old Prince Edward Campus with students running along corridors and subsequently on dirt track, is now competed along a 600-metre route flanked by the workshops and main administration building. Participants are required to complete 50 rounds of the circuit, of which certain rounds must be completed by lady runners. The Race requires 10 runners to form a student team and 12 runners for the staff team. The SP student category competes for the former President Wee Kim Wee Challenge Shield and staff category competes for the Dr Khoo Kay Chai's Challenge Trophy. Other categories included are Inter-Secondary School Invitation and Alumni.
